@jessicasoakes: When we were recently in Idaho, I finally brought home a bunch of my mama’s things since she passed… that I’ve been slowly going through and figuring out what to do with. 🤍 This little dress was hers when she was a baby, and the second I saw it, I knew I wanted to start here. I really don’t want the things that mean the most to me and tell our family’s story… to spend the next 30 years packed away in boxes, so I’m finding ways to make them part of our home instead. And this cost me basically nothing. 😂 I thrifted the frame for $2 and found a pillowcase for 50¢ that I used as the backing. $2.50, a little bit of time, and now instead of her dress sitting in a box, I get to walk past this little piece of my mama every single day. 🥹🐞 I want more of this in our home. Less filling spaces just to make them pretty and more filling them with things that tell our story. 🤍
