Animal agriculture is the main cause of climate change. There are currently tens of millions of animals being farmed for their flesh. These animals produce billions of pounds of excrement each day. Methane is 80 times more powerful at heating up the atmosphere than CO². On top of this, animal agriculture is the main cause of deforestation. As an acre of land is slashed and burned globally every second of every day, this is releasing CO² into the atmosphere. And, to top it off even further, all of these tens of billions of farmed animals need to be fed every day. There are billions of pounds of food being shipped to farms all across the planet on a daily basis. Each day, there's over 200 million animals being shipped to slaughterhouses globally. And, then their body parts are shipped to grocery stores. On top of this, the body parts have to be refrigerated to keep it from rotting as fast. WAKE UP! GO VEGAN!!!
