He returned home after his family had left, changed out of his school uniform, took his bag and withdrew £200 from his bank account. He then went to Doncaster station and purchased a one-way ticket to London. Andrew arrived at King’s Cross later that morning. Footage captured him leaving the station—and that became the last confirmed sighting of him. What made the disappearance so difficult to explain was how little Andrew left behind to reveal what he intended to do. He traveled to London alone, and despite years of reported sightings and appeals, police say none has ever been positively confirmed. His family has continued searching, and investigators have released age-progressed images showing what Andrew might look like as an adult. More than 18 years later, Andrew is still officially missing. There has never been a confirmed explanation for why he went to London that morning, where he went after leaving King’s Cross, or what happened to him afterward.
