@blockclubchi: The neighborhood’s Mexican Independence Day Parade marched down 26th Street Sunday, with neighbors showing their pride in force following a year full of immigration enforcement. The 55th annual parade saw thousands line the streets watching marchers including mariachi bands, folkloric dance performances, community organizations and politicians like Gov. JB Pritzker and Mayor Brandon Johnson. This year’s parade held the theme “United We Ride: Stronger Than Ever.” We asked neighbors what they think everyone should know about Chicago's Mexican community. This is what they said.
