Same thing off the tee… “I’m in the fairway, rip this one!”

0% chance of the putt dropping if it’s short. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Agree 100%. I’m not as good as you, but I’m usually the best in a scramble group, and I feel more pressure when I’m “freed up” on a putt. I make a better roll it if it’s just a “normal” putt. Not to sound boastful, but I don’t think the lesser players in the group can relate to this

I like the concept of being “freed up” but totally can understand how it doesn’t truly do anything besides makes you overdo/overthink your putt even more.

Makes sense but only if you’re a good putter. Lots of these scramble guys only get it to the hole half the time. Even though those guys should go first. Haha

If I have a 10 foot slider it’s a much easier putt if the next one doesn’t matter. Can just take the break out and hit it harder. Just commit to your new line and speed the whole “pressure” or “pulling it” is in your own head. Just overcome that mental hurdle and stop thinking. Pick a line and speed and hit it.

Agree to disagree, you are forgetting the mental freedom, that is the key, you don’t have to do anything cause your partner is in. Dont hit it harder because they are in but remove 3 putt worries. Leaving it short is still fun hit the putt that will best get the ball in the hole but you can do it without any fear of a 3 putt thats the freed up part to me

Definitely a legitimate argument. It at times makes you completely adjust how you were planning to putt the ball

Complete depends on what type of putter you are. If you’re a dripper i agree
