The mine I’m at started producing in 1908. They used donkeys to tram. Stables are still there.. lots of places no rock bolts..

I remember encountering the ghost of a mule in one of the older mines here in Northern Ontario. We had a recinditioning contract near surface, and still connected to the older workings, where the stables they kept the mules in were. Kinda freaked me out a little, seeing a mule standing there for a second or two.

The around the town I live in there is a story at CSA copper mine Australia about being able to see one of the shift bosses down there walking on one of the levels or an old phone that isn’t connected to anything starts ringing and he’s also known to follow people home after a 12 hour night shift
