It’s much harder to be the “franchise face”. Because you have to live up to a standard with pressure and expectations. If Tim Duncan hadn’t won in San Antonio, then it wouldn’t have made a difference either way. Any star that plays for the lakers HAS to win championships. Luka has way more pressure on him to win than Wemby does right now because of the teams they play for
