I have made a few senior friends. And I realized that they are so lonely. They don't get to leave the house. they sit at home doing nothing. So I tried to save a few hours a week just to call elderly people and chat about the weather. they love it

I find it so weird to go into a small gas station mart and have the person behind the cash register talking non stop on the phone with some friend while they ring up my purchase. They just talk away as if I’m not there while scanning items. I think they talk to friends - maybe at other quick marts - all day long. I find it disconcerting

My husband has this culture with his friends and it makes me so happy. His buddy will call him after work and they just chat for a while. It’s so sweet

it's weird when you do it for the first time and but afterwards it's not! your friends will think of you as a go-to call&chat person ^^ it's amazing, I highly recommend it!

That’s literally my job. As a clinical psychologist that does a lot of telehealth. I put in my AirPods. Take therapy notes on my phone. And get housework done. Because some ADHD I find my concentration is better if I’m doing something physical and therefore clients get better attention.

I find it’s less generational more just space specific I have friends who will definitely call me at random and others who won’t. I use discord and so I often find myself on there chatting with people while I work. I’m in a group made up of mostly gen X-Millennials with the occasional gen x (me) and we have a specific channel intend for body doubling because we are a neuro spicy bunch

This is what my friend and I use Marco Polo for. We very rarely show our faces but we leave each other messages throughout the day. Sometimes we are there the same time and go back and forth, sometimes a message goes a day or two, but it’s pretty consistent!
