Northline Village, the massive 19-acre mixed-use project next to the Lynnwood City Center light rail station, remains stuck largely in its infrastructure phase. Here are the details:
• 🏠 Plans call for 1,369 new housing units.
• 🏢 The development could eventually include 500,000 sq. ft. of office space.
• 🛍️ Another 250,000 sq. ft. of retail is planned.
• 🚈 The 19-acre site sits directly next to the Lynnwood City Center light rail station.
• 🚧 Work so far has largely focused on sewer, water, power and roadway infrastructure.
• 💰 Rising construction and material costs have made financing the massive upfront infrastructure investment difficult.
• 📅 The developer now says one or two building lots could be completed within the next three years, but full buildout could still be years beyond that. Meanwhile, Lynnwood’s population has grown from roughly 38,000 to 43,000 in just five years, increasing pressure to add more housing, especially around major transit hubs.
