glute challenge begins MONDAY — save your spot with the link in my bio! code YASA at @AYBL 💗 more details below ⬇️ 1. muscle needs fuel to grow! knowing your maintenance gives you a starting point so you can make intentional increases based on your goals instead of just guessing, undereating, or jumping into a huge surplus. 2. you don’t have to stop moving just because you’re trying to build muscle. keeping your daily movement consistent helps keep your overall energy expenditure consistent too, making it easier to adjust your food intake and manage unnecessary body fat gain while you grow. 3. going to failure on every set can create a ton of fatigue without necessarily giving you better results. focus on quality reps, gradually increase intensity throughout your sets, and be intentional about which sets you take to or very close to failure. 4. you do NOT need 6+ exercises every glute day. 4–5 intentional movements performed well, with enough intensity and progressive overload, can be more than enough. 5. soreness is not the measurement of a good workout OR full recovery! just because your glutes aren’t sore the next day doesn’t mean you need to train them again. give your muscles time to recover and actually grow. 6. if you want your glutes to continue adapting, you have to continue challenging them. progressive overload can mean more weight, more reps, better control, improved range of motion, or better execution over time. 7. carbs are FUEL!! they help support training performance, which means more energy to push your lifts, progressively overload, and actually give your muscles a reason to grow. 8. if you’re building muscle and eating more, your body weight may increase. that doesn’t automatically mean you’re gaining unwanted body fat. pay attention to your strength, measurements, progress photos, how your clothes fit and how your body is actually changing, not just one number. 9. eating more, lifting heavier, pushing closer to failure, watching the scale change, and doing things your body isn’t used to doing. #glutegrowth
