Stainless steel. GM doesn't like cars that last forever. That's why Oldsmobile & Pontiac are gone. A V8 Olds rear wheel drive sedan would last a long, long time. Look at the junk they're making now.

not true..GM did not give him a green light on this car...even he developed the GTO, Firebird, Monte Carlo, Grand Prix etc.

He should’ve never left his $250k annual salary easy job at GM. That would be equivalent to $1.4 million annually in today’s money 😳. His gigantic ego cost him everything. He could’ve talk GM into building the DeLorean instead as a tribute to him.
