How to learn AI from zero: the AI roadmap, month by month (n8n, Claude Code, AI agents) How to learn AI from zero, in the right order. This is the AI roadmap I'd give you, month by month, from knowing nothing to AI employees running parts of your business. Each step stands on the one before it. 1. Month 1, Foundations. Learn the words first. An LLM is the brain behind ChatGPT, and it can only hold so much at once, so it forgets. An API is a waiter carrying orders between two apps. Tokens, context, JSON, RAG and agents come next, in plain English. 2. Month 1, The Thinker's Mind. Before you touch a tool, map one real process, like handling invoices: what starts it, the steps, the decisions, where it ends. Cut the steps that shouldn't exist, or you'll just automate waste. Label the rest: automate, manual, not yet, or AI. You leave with one project worth building. 3. Month 2, Automation. n8n is a visual tool that connects your apps. A Gmail trigger catches a new invoice, Google Drive saves the attachment, Google Sheets adds a row. Build it once, it runs every time. 4. Month 3, AI Automations. Put AI inside the workflow: a text classifier sorts each email into invoice, question or junk, an information extractor pulls the amount off the invoice, RAG answers from your own documents, and a human-in-the-loop approval step asks you first when the stakes are high. Then agents: a workflow follows the path you drew, an AI agent gets a goal and a few tools, like your calendar, and picks its own steps. 5. Month 4, Vibe Coding Mastery. Build your own app. The front end is the dining room, the back end is the kitchen, the database is the pantry. You describe the app, AI writes the code, then you lock the doors: logins so each person only sees their own chats, and secret keys that never leave the kitchen. Then it's live on the internet. 6. Month 5, Claude Code From Zero. An AI that works on your computer, inside VS Code. Give it a briefing (CLAUDE.md, one file about your business it reads every time it starts: that's context), notes so it remembers what you decided, skills for the jobs you repeat, MCP to plug it into your tools, and guardrails for what it can never touch. 7. Month 6 and beyond, AI Command Center. Connect your email, calendar, customers and payments, then turn your skills into AI employees: one runs your inbox, one makes your content, one writes your proposals. They work on a schedule, report back, and anything risky waits for your yes. 8. The side branch, AI Video Production: making videos with AI. Go faster or slower, just keep the order. That's the exact order of the courses inside my community: seven take you from your first word to your first AI employee, and an eighth teaches you to make videos with AI. #aiautomation #aiemployee #aiagents #n8n #claudecode
