Every species we lose takes something from our children that we can never give back. But extinction isn’t only about losing an animal. Biodiversity keeps our planet functioning. Animals pollinate plants, spread seeds, maintain forests, control populations and help keep ecosystems healthy. Remove enough pieces, and the whole system becomes more fragile. And we depend on those ecosystems too for clean air, clean water, food and a stable climate. Extinction is forever. But it isn’t inevitable. So what can you do? Support trusted conservation organisations. Protect habitat. Choose wildlife-friendly products. Reduce waste. Learn which species are endangered where you live—and teach your children why they matter. The more we know, the more we care. And the more we care, the more we protect. Our children deserve more than stories about a world that used to be wild. Let’s make sure these animals are still here for them to see. ❤️🌍
