Great analogy! After getting married and what i thought was an amazing first 6 months - she withdrew emotionally. She said she didnt want a divorce but didnt know if she wanted to be married. she suggested we become ”friends with bennefits” - she put me on ”layaway”. Im ashamed to say I stayed for another 4 months 😔- it was brutal and the worst emitional abuse I ever went through.
