You have to take it seriously as if it’s your career. Get dressed every day, workout, plan fun and stimulating activities for the kids. Make meal plans, make systems in your home. Start every day with a sense of gratitude that YOU get to raise your kids instead of a daycare.

I'm gonna level with you. I disliked being a stay home mom. It was depressing, demoralizing, lonely, and stagnant. Those were my issues, my hang ups. I was immature and I didn't appreciate the time I was given with them. Looking back I regret that so much. If I could go back I would have had more fun with them. Treat everyday like a gift. I know it's serious business but I wouldn't have taken it too serious. Be playful, and show them joy. They grow at an alarming rate and then they're gone. Enjoy every kernel that has been offered to you. I know it's not easy. Make it fun and treat yourself well.

I tell myself DAILYYYY. If I survived a weekend with my reflux newborn while me AND my toddler had the flu and my husband was out of town , I surely can survive this one day. But like how is everyday this chaotic???

I was a SAHM for 12 years. It’s tough. But one day you wake up and it’s over. All of it. It’s literally gone and your life suddenly goes from grueling to delightfully easy…. And you find your rhythm again… and you feel beautiful again…. And everyone is so independent you start bracing yourself for the moment they don’t need you at all- and you find yourself feeling so thankful that you chose to be there with them for it all😭

Literally no one understands unless they’ve done it. I know all situations are hard in different ways…but the Lord decided to push me and give me 3 boys in 3 years, by the age of 25, 1,000 miles away from all family. I had unbearable PPD/PPA. I don’t know how I survived it, despite it being all I’ve ever wanted.
