The generosity and hospitality of the Japanese culture is something else. We were gifted a two-night stay at a Ryokan near Lake Yamanaka as a welcome to the home country of Rumi, someone Jason did karate with back when he was eight years old. To say this gift left us truly blown away and literally stopped us in our tracks is no exaggeration. Gratefulness doesn’t cover it or explain how we feel. It’s something deeper. The country and the people of Japan are something else.
