I had a baby shower, spent a good amount on the party. Majority of the guests didn’t show & the ones that did didn’t bring a gift expect for a few. I wouldn’t have another baby shower if I got pregnant again.

Baby girl all the money you put into a shower and feeding them is what you can buy yourself with all that money and get what you like. I couldn’t have one due to living far alone but I don’t regret it now. I know people that spent $800+ for the party and didn’t get much

I would say do a baby brunch with your dearest family and friends. No gifts. Baby books signed by guest for family.

I would totally fly in the people who do check in and care after your home and recovered with the baby. then it's a bonus that they get to meet him/her. and they don't have to all come at once.

We’re not doing one because half of my wife’s family would be offended that they’re not invited, but they’re literally homophobes so like… why? Just not worth the stress, especially when it took us so long to get here

You DO NOT have to do a baby shower if you don’t want to🤦🏻♀️🙄 I’m pregnant right now and I didn’t do a baby shower. I’m picky and like I told my husband I am PICKY so it’s easier for us to not do one and just get the stuff we truly want. 😅

I didn’t do a baby shows for either of my kids! Honestly those who wanted to buy things showed up with gifts, and those who didn’t, I truly didn’t care! I find all these “party” and “celebrations” rather overrated, and unnecessary! But for those whom do it, I love that for them! It just wasn’t for me.
