@thekoreanhulk: A reminder for anyone who’s spent years putting everyone else first: You can care about people without constantly putting yourself last. People pleasing can look like always saying yes, avoiding difficult conversations, or worrying so much about disappointing someone that you ignore what you actually want. Sometimes the HARDEST boundary to set is the one you know you need. Saying no doesn’t make you selfish. Changing your mind doesn’t make you unreliable. Someone being disappointed by your decision doesn’t automatically mean you did something wrong. Choosing yourself can feel uncomfortable when you’re not used to doing it. ✨ So here’s your challenge: the next time you catch yourself saying yes when you really want to say no, pause and ask yourself: “Am I doing this because I genuinely want to, or because I’m afraid of disappointing someone?” You don’t always need a long explanation. Sometimes “I appreciate you asking, but I’m going to pass” is enough. You deserve to make choices that feel right for you too. 💭 What’s something you’ve been saying yes to that you actually want to say no to? #peoplepleasing
