this scheme is purely a talent problem, they have too many good QBs to just let one sit, this isn't something you're going to see widespread use out of from power schools (non power schools might try it just for the confusion it causes

my god when I compare this to the complete clusterfuk and giant f****** winningham got into a couple of years ago with cam rising. well we effectively did not have a guaranteed starting quarterback. the guy that filled in and did a great job ended up leaving the next year's for Utah State because he thought for sure he wouldn't have the starting job only for rising to sit out half the damn season. and now in the months after whittingham left, it's come out that there was definitely some borderline unethical and definitely questionable tactics on the part of the coaching staff and the medical staff when dealing with players with injuries.

Look up the A11 offense from several years ago, a high school coach came up with it based on a loophole in the CA high school football rule book. Two QBs, everyone on the field is an eligible receiver. This looks like the college version of that.
