This scene proved to me that the Manhunter it’s self was a failed experiment because it will use any advantage to not only blend in but kill and make people chose undeniable contracts for her safety. —— I think choosing a minority is brilliant. That mean, NO ONE even if they were racists would associate her running anything or being up to devious acts. Shes to weak looking and she s minority…. It takes the heat off her and on to Macon who had all the bravado and charisma to kick anybody off her scent

The show is simply pointing out that the sympathy she got for being a minority helped her overtake the town. sorry but in the shows context. true.

It’s to do with the fact that who would suspect a woman of color would have that much power in an all white town. Hal and John first suspected her husband because he was a wealthy white man. No one would look twice at an Indian woman. That’s why they did it that way, they proved it
