ya i am a daycare toddler teacher....we go to work sick bc the kids got us sick and we have no insurance, no vacation, no sick days....oh ya and if you are out, you better bring a doctor's note or you get written up. even though we cant afford to go to the doctor....I love it here

I returned to work a week after giving birth for my second child 😅 for my first child I had to use all my sick leave, no paid maternity leave. the same company gave my husband paid paternity leave tho 🫠🫠

I work for one of the largest health insurance companies in the US and there is no “sick leave” just accrued PTO we can use, but if you’ve call out sick too many times they just fire you even with a doctors note. Only work around is FMLA but it’s unpaid

The actual American dream. I'm currently peeing blood again (while I'm at work). I went to the ER last time they ran tests, said I was fine, didn't give me so much as a Tylenol, sent me home, and charged me $6000 for the tests after insurance. I ran my tests through Chatgpt and it said I had a kidney stone. There was no mention of it when I was at the ER.

I moved to the USA from Australia and am still truly shocked by some of the work rules. At my company we get 7 points. If we take a sick day and use our sick leave we get a point. At 5 points we get a warning..if you use your 7th point, you're fired.
