It didn’t look like the backrooms. It looked like a normal target…….

It looked like that because everything back then used warm lighting. Led bulbs with cool and daylight spectrum didn’t come out until later

Where did Target Begin? Because I don’t remember hearing about it or going until the late 90’s, and early 2000’s I remember they started to open more stores.

Around 2000 me and my friends would call Target and ask to be transferred to extension 4242, which was also the code to the intercom.. they’d patch us in and we’d have free reign over the entire store’s PA system and they couldn’t override it 😂 it went on for HOURS sometimes while we’d go sit in the McDonald’s inside Target and listen to the chaos lol

I miss my childhood man. Growing up as a kid and teenager anywhere from 1990-2010 was awesome…. We got to experience the best and literally witness the destruction of everything good

People don’t realize that recording in the 90’s-early 2000s was extremely expensive, these videos are gems

I miss the days of the huge target cafe and bakery. When I was a toddler my mom would always get me a cupcake at the old bakery if I was good.

I had been working there for three years already. 38 years later I’ve retired. Target has forever forgotten they were a discount store at heart.

seems legit 1992. Scarlett: Gone With The Wind was published in 1991, and you see it out on the shelves at the end

Lmao. To be clear, the Backrooms emulate the nostalgic feel of this time, not the other way around 😂

Adam Portrais :
The reason it “Looks like the Backrooms” is that it’s a 480i non-white balanced tape media- which was the Backrooms aesthetic.

I worked at Target in the 90’s & it was way diff than now. They had more departments & was more like Walmart in that way.
