I agree with everything except a home visit. I'm not allowing a stranger into my home.thats just a little too much. And a cat outside on a leash isnt that bad. I personally keep my baby inside bc I would be devastated if anything happened to her.

I've had to educate people on declawing at adoption events we have because people thought it meant trimming their nails.

I looove these rules. the only thing is introduction is longer than a day if done correctly. so you would be over at someone's house for weeks? we just got a 3 month old kitten to our already existing 6 month old, a kitties, and bunnies that she has to get used to. it takes time and cannot be rushed and done in a visit. all of our animals are very well taken care of. but introduction is a slow proces that cant be rushed.

I think the introduction part is valid but what about the going into their house part? don't you think the owners might be uncomfortable with a random person in their house just because they want a cat or kitten?

I adopted my judgey boy from a foster . Your rules are perfectly reasonable. Same rules my foster asked me. He's a year old now and I still send her pics and updates on Percy.

If I see a cat outside I'm taking it home, if you have an outdoor cat it's just a stray you feed, bad for the cat and bad for the environment

As someone who used to foster kittens and cats, I couldn’t agree with you more! ❤️Adopting an animal is a lifelong commitment, not something to take lightly. I absolutely love that you have these rules in place to make sure they go to safe, loving, forever homes. Every animal deserves that! 🐾💕
