Happened to me too - dreading about it actually and I am in a crisis with my new-self; the thought of how my old-self had an armada of lexicon for the topics I used to be very enthusiastic about, knocked myself to a different path because my thinking was I had to mellow down so I could go and fit in with the people that couldn't get me (doing more layman's term but in the worst way possible) and bwalah, there you go lost passion for the debates and constructions for better arguments. And everytime I see or hear about philosophies or political/societal problems, hearing them vocal out and I could see and pinpoint how flawed their logic is but I couldn't be more articulate than I was and I get shitted on when I try to speak up. So yeah, just longing about it (A time where I graduated on the top of my batch with 99th percentile). I feel you very much.

Debate me bros we’re not bad for wanting debates. It was the fact they would only do this to people who they knew lacked the debate skills to compete with them, rather than relying on the merit of their argument.

I love debate. I love debating. I think zizeck said something to the effect of “at some point, you don’t want to have to debate if it’s ok to fuck dogs”. Society does need some level of matters being considered settled. Similar to law. At some point there needs to be a settled feeling of, “ok women have rights and should be treated as equals” then go from there. That needs to have happened yesterday
