I think someone is living in your walls and it isn’t paranormal. I would check that closet that has had those thumps very carefully and see if there’s any hidden openings in it. I would also check all the rooms in your apt.’s walls, floors & ceilings to see if there’s a hidden opening. Check the back of the inside of all cabinets too. Especially if any cabinets share a wall with a neighbor. I would get cameras & put them inside your apt. but don’t talk about it with your spouse inside the apt. If you have been talking about the apt being paranormal while in the apt then it’s a good chance whoever is hiding out in your walls has heard that and has made more active “paranormal events “ to get you off them hiding out. This all sounds crazy but you would be surprised how often it has happened to many people. At least with the cameras inside your apt you will see if it’s something invisible or a real person. after my dog passed away we put motion activated lights on the stairs so we don't have to turn on the big light and the one at the top of the stairs will activate on its own and I know it's her chilling on the stairs like she used to
