Largely the reason i quit. Rivals gives you an entire bundle, vfx and sfx in every legendary for $20. OW charges you $45 dollars for an ultra skin which is the same as a regular rivals legendary bundle. An overwatch legendary skin is $20 ALONE, no bundle, no effects.

no it's obvious that they regret giving us mythic prisms in the battle pass but don't want to take that away from us so they don't face the backlash, Ultra skins are their way of replacing Mythic skins without having the backlash of getting rid of our prisms, if they could they'd take away the prisms from the battlepass

Mythics are technically "free" in the BP with the prisms. They can charge for the Ultra skins. I fully expect the Mystics to only get worse and the premium ones are paywalled.

genuinely boils down to you have to spend real money on ultra skins. most people don’t actually buy mythic prisms or the $40 packs every time a mythic comes out. they use their prisms they got from the battle pass. but with ultra skins you HAVE to use ow coins so they’re by default making more money from it

The reason is that most of the Overwatch players have Mythic points, so Overwatch can't charge players to make money off that now

I've said this since they canceled PvP and its more true everyday. OW only exists to sell skins, it is a cash cow they are milking and throwing no development towards.
