In this case, the law should change. Currently, if deadbeats want to screw contractors, it requires a lot of steps and additional funds to claw the money back. A lien can only last a set timeframe and a forced foreclosure can cost thousands in court costs. Even a small claims court case takes money and time away from a contractor trying to make money

The contract may have a repo clause. We don’t know but either way good for them for taking it back
