Omg!!! My mom had a PE. They dismissed it as “provoked” because she had knee replacement surgery & it was on the same leg as the tourniquet & surgery. Almost 1.5 years later, she had another one. Now she’s on Plavix for life. She’s still hanging in there, but there are layers to this story. HAVE YOU EVER been tested for genetic variants of the MTHFR gene?? You’re too young for this. I’m so sorry for the loss of your BF.
