📩 Send this to a gardening friend! 💙🌿 🌱 BEGONIA REX PROPAGATION YOU’LL NEED: • Healthy mature Begonia Rex leaf • Clean sharp scissors/blade • Small propagation container • Light, airy propagation mix • Water METHOD: 1. Choose a healthy, mature Begonia leaf. 2. Cut the leaf cleanly from the parent plant. 3. Turn the leaf over and make small cuts across several major veins. 4. Lay the leaf flat on moist propagation mix with the underside touching the substrate. 5. Gently secure the leaf so the cut veins maintain contact with the surface. 6. Keep it warm with bright indirect light and high humidity. 7. Keep the substrate lightly moist — never saturated. 8. New roots and tiny plantlets can gradually develop around the cut veins. 🌱 9. Once the plantlets are established with several leaves and their own roots, carefully separate and pot them individually. 💡 PRO TIP: Good contact between the cut veins and the substrate is key. High humidity helps, but stagnant saturated conditions can cause the original leaf to rot. 🌿 For established Rex Begonias: bright indirect light, warmth, good humidity and an airy substrate that stays lightly moist without remaining waterlogged. 💬 What Begonia should we propagate next?
