I miss coming home after a night shift to freshly baked cookies after my daughter had a early morning cooking session, she passed away last December and since then the kitchen has been too clean

During Covid I would go into the kitchen and it was a full service diner AT MIDNIGHT. My daughter would be baking a cake, my son Mac and cheese and husband with toast.

i only bake when the kitchen is clean, i then clean up after myself. but baking in a clean kitchen is the best. also. it isn’t a phase….I make a dang delicious apple crumble
