Staying in hostels has opened my eyes to how cheap travel can get

Yep. I’m a traveler. I actually have more stress when I travel than at my laid back work from home job.

why are people being mean lol. ur right there is a huge difference in priorities and it feels weird to be equated to someone dropping $500 a day at an all inclusive

I pretty much blend the two nowadays. I mean I still walk all over the place and see all I can. But as you get older, there are some things worth splurging on like where you sleep. The days of sleeping on a cot or bunk beds are gone lol. The privacy of my own room and a comfy bed are more than worth it. Need some level of comfort theses days 😁

It’s not the affording lodging and transport while I travel that’s a problem. It’s the fact that my student loans aren’t going away just because I want to take some time to see the world

I like a mix of both, I’ll volunteer for free food and a place to stay and don’t usually do tours or anything I could do myself BUT if I have points I’m sure as hell upgrading my flight or staying at a hotel for a bit. And if I’m sick or really exhausted I’ll stay at a hotel till I feel better I don’t wanna get strangers sick or be around others.

Girl I was judged so much for staying at hostels… but like… I don’t travel to a country to spend time at the hotel… so may as well save on lodging and spend that money on actually doing awesome shit
