PHP just had one of its scariest security moments in years. 🫠 Not a plugin. Not your messy code. The runtime itself. Here's the part that keeps devs up at night 👇 Your app can be flawless. Reviewed. Perfectly written. But your app doesn't run on its own — it sits on top of PHP, which sits on top of the server. Three floors. And the crack was in the middle one. That's PHP2Shell: two critical flaws, 9.2/10 severity, patched Oct 21, 2026. One lets a crafted request corrupt memory. The other reuses freed memory from an old request. Chain them and an attacker can run their own code on your server — no username, no password. Unauthenticated RCE. The worst four letters in security. And the wild part?
