He’s not playing a game. This isn’t 4D chess. He means it. He’s always put party before ego. I (also a native Californian) remember when he marched in the San Diego Pride in 2009 and had his “Gavin for Governor“ signs. I was so excited! Then, Jerry Brown announced that he was running, and Gavin backed out. He knew he would split the vote. He knew he had to do whatever it took to get Jerry Brown elected. I’d always respected him, and that’s when I became a stan. And, yes — I WANT HIM TO BE PRESIDENT!
