This slanderous statement, which aims to portray the Turkish society as an ‘undesirable’, ‘numerous’ or ‘needed to be destroyed’ group, was actually designed as a conscious provocation. However, this initiative completely backfired as Turkish users did not take this discourse seriously and, on the contrary, embraced it with great self-confidence and irony. Instead of being disturbed by this racist label directed at them, Turks neutralized this attack by making the situation a part of humor and ‘shitposting’ culture, and even turned it into an absurd comedy material in their favor.
