In the age of constant social media surveillance Gen Z has learned that making it a joke avoids being made fun of for being cringe. So nothing can be earnest and everything becomes a meme. But if everything becomes a joke then nothing maintains any permanence. Only sincerity can establish any level of longevity.

There has to be something fundamentally wrong with cultural analysis or media theories and philosophy discourse, because it’s always so mediocre and lackluster at describing concepts. Rather concepts as such are inadequate. There’s something fundamentally missing from the discourse.
