They did a good job protraying how AWKWARD it is being a teen girl😭😭and how dramatic we are abt literally everything. And when I say “dramatic” I just mean every little thing feels like it’s going to be the end of the world. Just to get out of high school and realize none of it matters

I loved that Devi was allowed to get mad and make bad decisions. She was real teen girls. I can’t tell you how many times I had to bottle up my anger bc “girls aren’t supposed to be angry.”

I think she really stands out as an angry female character whose anger isn’t played as a joke nor villainized, and I genuinely can’t think of another example of it whilst there is a plethora of angry male characters

as someone who lost her sister, i absolutely LOVE how this show portrays grief over any other show ive watched. it realistically shows the effects of a death that people may not think of (ie being paralyzed, negative rls with other parent, the fox thing, impact on identity, almost missing spreading ashes, etc) and shows her not “getting over it”, but integrating it into her life. bro i love this show with my LIFE
