Which is why 'The Bear' is such an amazing representation of what happens to cooks in this line of work and under these standards. He even confronts one of the chefs that caused him to suffer and his response was; "So? Thank me. I made you the best." IT IS SO RELEVANT

I was also taught that the energy a person cooks with, flows to the food we cooking. so pressure and anxiety while cooking flows to the food we make and alters it's taste and quality.

So many men treat cooking as such a competition. I can't talk to a man who likes cooking without him critiquing other people's recipes and launching into a speech about his own methods. In shows too, most male chefs are just judging competitions. It's exhausting.

I’m 54. This was the case when I was 18. Constant slaps on the derrière, cornering in the freezer, persistent invitations to spend time with them. I was working the kitchens with chefs at a resort. Didn’t have sexual harassment suits back then or it wasn’t common knowledge.

My son was offered 2 apprenticeships as a chef & he was deciding which one to take & the chef said to him think hard about taking it you will never have a social life & have you ever seen a happy chef. My son didn’t become a chef
