That's all great for ballots being mailed back, but for example, my brother who lives in Germany got his ballot sent back to his mailbox while he was on vacation. Washington state we put our phone numbers on the outside of our envelopes. He got a text message saying his ballot had been received. It had not.

I used to work for USPS, and I laughed when I saw the proposed rules. There was no way these rules were actually getting implemented by November

Remind people that if they do not receive their ballot, they need to call their local auditors office and ask for a provisional ballot if they have not received their ballot within a week and a half after the ballots had been mailed in their area they need to ask for a provisional ballot. And use a dropbox if you possibly can rather than the mail, don't take the chance if it's an option.

On the question of standing, there are seven or eight states that mail ballots to the voters, so wouldn't every person in every one of those states have standing? And since every one of the people in every one of those states would have standing, wouldn't the state itself be able to have standing?

It sure seems like Trump's SCOTUS effectively said that States in fact do NOT run elections, Trump does. Constitution be damned. So do it again starting in December 2026, well before Nov 2028, and we will sign off on it.
