@mutiaramutusertifikasi: Kecelakaan kerja terjadi di sebuah bengkel jual beli besi tua di Jalan Tomat, Bontang, Jumat (4/9/2026). Seorang pekerja mengalami luka hingga patah kaki setelah drum bekas oli yang sedang dipotong tiba-tiba meledak. Berdasarkan informasi sementara kepolisian, drum diduga masih tertutup dan terdapat sisa oli di dalamnya. Percikan dari proses pemotongan diduga memicu ledakan. Kejadian ini jadi pengingat bahwa drum yang terlihat kosong belum tentu bebas bahaya. Sisa cairan atau uap mudah terbakar di dalam drum dapat membentuk atmosfer berbahaya dan tersulut ketika terkena sumber panas atau percikan dari aktivitas hot work. Dalam K3, aktivitas yang menghasilkan panas, api, atau percikan termasuk pekerjaan yang perlu mendapat perhatian khusus atau biasa dikenal sebagai hot work. Karena itu, sebelum melakukan pekerjaan seperti memotong, mengelas, atau menggunakan alat yang menghasilkan percikan, ada beberapa hal sederhana yang penting diperhatikan: Cari tahu sebelumnya wadah digunakan untuk menyimpan apa Pastikan kondisi wadah dan area kerja sudah diperiksa Kenali kemungkinan adanya bahan atau uap yang mudah terbakar Jauhkan material yang mudah terbakar dari area pekerjaan Siapkan alat pemadam yang sesuai di sekitar area kerja Gunakan APD sesuai risiko pekerjaan Bukan berarti setiap drum bekas pasti berbahaya. Tapi kejadian seperti ini mengingatkan kita untuk nggak langsung menganggap sesuatu aman hanya karena terlihat kosong.
