Fr the best thing my mom ever did for me is let me sleep with her during my two bad breakups in life. When I was 16 she put me in her bed every night, when I was 22 she moved a twin bed into her room so I could sleep with her and we watched modern family every night 🫶

Boy, did I want my mom to be a Lorelai. Knowing how similar we are, I’m sure she feels things as deeply as I do and it’s so sad that she didn’t offer any sort of kindness like this when I was that age

Went thru a breakup at 29. Mom and dad drove 10 hours. Stayed a week. Mom and I cuddled in the couch and watched hallmark movies. Dad went to lumber yard, purchased all new doors and trim for my house. He installed all new.

This is my mom when I go through a break up! Didn’t eat for a two weeks after my engagement ended and every night she order from 5 different restaurants to try to get me to eat something but also stayed with me on the bathroom floor the first night so I wasn’t alone. Very blessed

It was so good to see Lorelai encourage this. I’ve heard so many moms pushing “strength”, not allowing for the sadness and tears. What that creates is a closed off heart. Lorelai didn’t want Rory to be closed off.
