@baubsautoparts: Not every sensor should be cleaned the same way, and some sensitive components can actually be damaged by the wrong chemical, brush, or cleaning method. 🔧 A few important examples: MAF sensors require a cleaner specifically designed for MAF sensors, and the sensing element should not be touched. MAP and IAT sensors may sometimes be cleaned carefully with an appropriate electronics safe cleaner, but always follow the manufacturer’s procedure. Throttle bodies require the correct throttle body cleaner and careful handling, especially with electronic throttle systems. ⚠️ Oxygen sensors are different. Spraying or soaking the sensing element is generally not a recommended repair. If contamination or damage is suspected, diagnose the cause before deciding whether replacement is necessary. And remember, sometimes the problem isn’t the sensor itself. Connectors, terminals, wiring, contamination, vacuum leaks, and other system faults can produce similar symptoms. 📌 Save this guide before your next DIY maintenance job. Educational purposes only. Cleaning procedures and approved products vary by vehicle, sensor design, year, make and model. Always verify the procedure in your vehicle’s service information before cleaning or replacing a sensor. #CarSensors #CarMaintenance #DIYAutoRepair #CarTips #BaubsAutoParts
