@hybridcalisthenics: Only doing low reps keeps some people stuck I'm not against low reps and high weight. I think it's great for building strength. However, I think some people in the bodyweight sphere think of it as the same as "building strength" when we can build strength at different rep ranges. Building muscle will help you get stronger too. This is especially notable for some calisthenics progressions which may benefit from some extra time practicing the movement so we're used to it (similar to how you'd practice an instrument). Use assistance or a similar easier movement to get used to it before loading up. That said, if what you're doing is working, you can totally thrive in the 3-5 rep range for a while.
