people who aren’t into trivia don’t understand how much of our knowledge just comes from random life experiences. i got a clue in jeopardy the other night that gave the scientific name for a ladybug. i only knew it because it is very similar to the french word and i had to learn a nursery rhyme about it when i took french in middle school. they think we study but we just live and we notice.

It was the battle of Hastings and it was Harold Godwinson who died not Hadradaa who was killed by Godwinson very very close to the time of Hastings

First one is Battle of Hastings, 1066, Normans defeating the AngloSaxons. Harald Hardrada, king of Norway, defeated and slain by those same AngloSaxons a couple of weeks before the battle of Hastings. I only failed the Korean war caption...
