Dairy came into the shelter as a stray on July 27, 2025, & somehow this sweet girl is STILL waiting for someone to choose her. She is now the THIRD LONGEST RESIDENT at Garland. Just look at those ears. 🥺 She was so scared in her kennel when I saw her, constantly pinning those big expressive ears back. You can tell the shelter environment is overwhelming for her. But take her outside & you get to see a completely different side of Dairy. She is sweet, playful, friendly, & she is good with other dogs! Dairy walks beautifully on leash, doesn’t jump on people, takes treats gently, knows sit, & enjoys being loved on. She isn’t interested in toys, but she has a medium energy level & would much rather spend her time with her person anyway. She walks right back into her kennel when it’s time to go, too. She is such a good girl. I cannot wrap my head around a dog waiting over a YEAR for a home. No dog deserves to spend that much of their life behind a kennel door. Dairy has waited long enough. Someone out there needs this girl in their life, & she needs someone to finally give her the home she has been waiting for.
