![The Revolutionaries is an upcoming historical period-drama series on Prime Video that brings to the screen a powerful and lesser-told chapter of India's freedom struggle. Set in the years following the failed uprising of 1857, the series follows a group of young revolutionaries who refuse to accept British rule and choose the path of armed resistance in their pursuit of justice, liberty and freedom. Rather than focusing only on the familiar narrative of India's independence movement, The Revolutionaries explores the courage, convictions, sacrifices and extraordinary determination of those young Indians who believed that revolution was essential to awakening a nation and challenging the British Raj. The series is adapted from Sanjeev Sanyal's acclaimed book Revolutionaries: The Other Story of How India Won Its Freedom and is directed by Nikkhil Advani. It stars Rohit Saraf, Bhuvan Bam, Pratibha Ranta, Gurfateh Pirzada and Jason Shah in key roles, with the series being produced by Monisha Advani and Madhu Bhojwani under Emmay Entertainment. Mounted on a grand scale and filmed across locations including Mumbai, Amritsar, Varanasi and Dehradun, the show aims to recreate the atmosphere, intensity and danger of revolutionary India.
