Just when you start to like a pot you originally hated… It’s week 44 since I started doing pottery and just as I started to like this pot and just as I figured out how to actually do this carving technique, it decided to crap out on me, but actually it was my fault to begin with, I trimmed the base too thin and so it dried faster than the surrounding foot ring and developed a crack. So this time it wasn’t the “clay” … it was me…as it probably is most of the time when something goes wrong, but we just don’t know what we did…this time at least I knew how I fcked up! Oh well! It only took me 4 hours to carve this…We’ll do it again next time and faster cuz I know how to do this now and it’s not at all complicated!
