@straitstimes: Steven Kolb, the CEO of the Council of Fashion Designers of America, was captured on video grabbing PETA animal rights protesters and covering their mouths during a New York Fashion Week runway show. Kolb has since apologised for his actions, saying he took full responsibility, and will voluntarily take a leave of absence. #NYFW #PETA #NewYork #viralnews #StraitsTimes
Why apologise. She needed some restraint and should have shown some respect

There are better and more civil ways to get your message across. I am also an animal lover but I know better than to shove my beliefs down someone else’s throat. There are many people who sacrifices a good amount of their personal time to put together an event and mind you, these are everyday people with modest wages, tryna make ends meet. The event will now be remembered more over this disruption than the behind the scene work that’s laboured for the event.

Personally, I think freedom of speech shouldn't be practised in ways that disrupt normal life. There should be designated places for people to protest rather than letting them do it as and when they like even when others are seriously inconvenienced as a result. Protests shouldn't be at the expense of others.
