the lighter one looks best, the darker shade is very cool toned I don't find it warm at all and the lighter is more warm toned

It doesn't look too light on camera. I can't tell what you're seeing it could be your camera, but I think you could even go a shade lighter and slightly cooler. The lighter side looks better overall.
