@m9360229jvk: My sweet Misty has been diagnosed with injection-site sarcoma, a rare cancer that can develop in tissue where a cat previously received an injection. In very rare cases, inflammation from an injection can contribute to abnormal cells becoming cancerous. Misty was getting her vaccines and routine care when this happened, and we never expected to receive this heartbreaking diagnosis. Her biopsy alone cost over $500 just to find out what was wrong with my baby. She is now dealing with a painful, swollen lump, tenderness, weight loss, decreased appetite, extreme tiredness, and difficulty moving. Watching her go through this has been devastating, and I am extremely stressed about the cost of saving her. Misty may need radical surgery costing around $5,000, or radiation and chemotherapy that could cost up to $10,000. I am doing everything I can to give her a chance, but I can’t do this alone.
