Then Lisa whispered, “I’ve loved you since we were kids.” Jennie smiled. “I know.” Lisa’s eyes widened. “You know?” “I figured it out.” “When?” Jennie leaned closer. “Somewhere between getting jealous over Mina and realizing I hated watching you walk away.” Lisa laughed softly. “Idiot.” “Your idiot?” Lisa looked at her for a long moment. Then nodded. “My idiot.” Jennie smiled. She gently cupped Lisa’s cheek. “Can I kiss you?” Lisa smiled. “You took long enough to ask.” Jennie laughed before leaning in. Their lips met softly. No desperation. No anger. Just years of feelings finally finding their way home. When they pulled apart, Lisa rested her forehead against Jennie’s. “So… what are we now?” Jennie smiled. “Finally us.” ⸻ The next morning, Jisoo and Rosé walked into the office together. Rosé’s mouth dropped open. “FINALLY!” Lisa nearly dropped her coffee. “Keep your voice down!” Jisoo crossed her arms. “Do you know how painful it was watching you two fight for weeks?” Jennie raised an eyebrow. “You knew?” “We all knew.” Lisa stared at them. “Everyone knew?” Rosé nodded. “Everyone except Jennie.” Jennie frowned. “Why am I always the last to know?” Lisa laughed. “Because you’re oblivious.” Jennie turned toward her. “Am I?” Lisa nodded. “Very.” Without warning, Jennie leaned over and kissed Lisa’s cheek. Lisa froze. Jisoo froze. Rosé froze. The entire table went silent. Jennie casually picked up her coffee. Lisa stared at her. “What was that?” “A kiss.” “I know that!” “Then why did you ask?” Rosé covered her mouth. “Oh my God.” Jisoo pointed at Jennie. “Who are you?” Jennie simply smiled. “My girlfriend’s baby.” Lisa burst out laughing. “That doesn’t even make sense.” “I know.” Jennie leaned closer and whispered, “You’re cute when you’re confused.” Lisa’s cheeks turned pink. Jisoo looked horrified. “Can you two please remember that we’re here?” Jennie ignored her and casually wrapped an arm around Lisa’s waist. Lisa looked at her. “You’ve become very clingy.” “Problem?” Lisa smiled. “No.” She leaned against Jennie’s shoulder. “Not at all.” Rosé stared at them. “Yesterday you two couldn’t stand being in the same room.” “And today?” Jisoo asked.
